At the beginning of the year, we came up with this idea. A yearly goal set as a challenge. This is what we wrote on our blog on the 26th of January 2016:
One of our goals for 2016 is to create at least one wedding cake per month.
Why one wedding cake per month? Because we want to take over the world with our buttercream covered cakes and put an end to the fondant supremacy!
We want to allow more happy couples to have a delicious and elegant homemade cake without having to break the bank. And let’s face it, buttercream tastes better than fondant!
This means we wanted to bake from scratch and decorate with buttercream, 12 wedding cakes in the year. We ended up making 28 wedding cakes. Yes, 28!! That is our target exceeded by 133%. Wow! I’m blown away! + We did 5 displays for a wedding expo 😉
We have done various flavours and styles, including cupcakes. One, two or three tiers feeding from 15 to 95 people. We have delivered up and down the coast, all the way to Currumbin, Kingscliff and Mount Tambourine or closer to home in Surfers Paradise, Main Beach and Broadbeach. *UPDATE* We have created more wedding cakes, cupcakes and dessert since then. You can see more in the gallery.
We cannot tell which is our favourite (because cakes are like kids, it’s not politically correct to have a favourite!)
Don’t miss out on our next cake tasting in February 2019.

What an incredible result Tracy, that is a massive increase on your target. Your cakes look absolutely beautiful too, I can see why they’re popular.
